(Download the Bamboo_Park_Tutorial_5.2.3dm file in order to start the tutorial from this chapter.)
Insert a plant row
- Run the _laPlantRow command
. The Plant row insert dialog will open. (Fig. 1)
- From the Plant's tab click on the Browse button to open the Plant database and select the Bambu ventricosa. Click the Select button to close the plant database.
- Define the plant parameters: Approximate height: 9,8m.
- From the Row's tab choose the following row parameters::
- Separation: 3,5m
- Alignment: Centered
- Distance to axis: -2m.
Click on the OK button to close the dialog.
- Turn on the Layer
Guidelines > vegetation and choose the curves #1, shown in Fig 2.
Repeat the process and insert 3 more rows, using the same plant species and row parameters, and picking the curves #2, #3 and #4 shown in Fig 2. Change the Distance to axis to 2m.
Edit a plant row
Once the plant row has been created we can change the parameters related to the row and the plant species used from the Lands Edit Panel .
Under the Plant's tab, there is the Natural variation option that when enabled it sets a random height variation to plant species in the row.
