4.6 Urban furniture

1. Insert a urban furniture

Lands Design provides a library with urban fixture and furniture blocks.

  1. Run the _laLibrary command laLibrary. The Lands Block Explorer dialog will open. (Fig. 1)
  2. The Lands block explorer lets you find blocks stored in any file of your computer. The Folder's list at the left side displays groups of directories that reference existing folders in your computer. Select the Urban Furniture Library list.
  3. Select one of the blocks for street lights located in the Urbanism folder. Click OK to close the dialog.
  4. Click in the model to define the insert point for this object.
  5. Click again to specify the block orientation with the cursor.

2. Insert a row of elements

These blocks can be also inserted arranged in rows, (also explained in chapter 4.4)

  1. Run the _laRow command laRow. The Row insert dialog will open.
  2. Under the Sample tab, click on the Pick button Pick button (the dialog will hide momentarily) and select one of the street lights inserted before.
  3. From the Row tab, define the row parameters: Separation: 10 m and Alignment: Centered. Make sure the Group checkbox is enabled.
  4. Click OK to close the dialog and insert the row.
  5. Select "Polyline" option in the command line.
  6. Draw row path as shown in Fig. 2. Make sure the Osnap points "Project" and "End" are on.
  7. Later on, when we edit the row parameters from the Edit Panel we can set some offset distance for the row of elements from its axis.
