3.6 Divide a terrain

1. Divide a terrain

This operation divides the terrain into two or mort parts using a closed curve. The new division or region can get a different color and material than the rest of the terrain.

  1. Run the Terrain: Divide command (_laTerrainDivide laTerrainDivide ).
  2. Pick the terrain
  3. Select the closed curve created in the previous chapter (for the terrain add a hole operation).

Note: the curve used to add a division can be placed in any elevation. The division will be applied in the projected area of that curve on the terrain.

2. Change the division color and material

  1. Select the terrain.
  2. In the Edit Panel, select the Input data tab (Fig. 2).
  3. Select the Division > Subdivision.
  4. Assign a specific color and the material from the right side of the panel.
